Delivery Schedule Summary
This is a Delivery Schedule document establishing requirements for food products to be delivered to a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facility. Delivery of all awarded items must occur between April 2, 2026, and June 30, 2026, on Tuesdays and Thursdays only (unless alternative arrangements are made), with delivery window hours from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Food Service warehouse contact number is (919) 575-5000, extensions 1441 or 1058.
All deliveries must comply with specific handling and quality requirements: items must be palletized unless prior warehouse approval is obtained; non-frozen perishable foods must arrive at 34–40 degrees Fahrenheit; frozen foods must be delivered at 0 degrees Fahrenheit or below; any product showing evidence of prior thawing will be rejected. All items must strictly conform to BOP National Menu Specifications, and contractors are responsible for obtaining and understanding these specifications prior to bidding. Certified Religious Diet Items require proper marking or will be refused. The Government reserves the right to conduct conditional receipt for up to three days for examination and testing, including thawing and cooking items to verify compliance. Non-compliant items will be refused, and conditionally received items found unacceptable must be picked up by the vendor within two weeks at the vendor's expense or will be disposed of by the Government. Contractor failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or to conform to specifications will negatively impact past performance ratings and may result in removal from future solicitations.
