QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS AMENDMENT

1. Question: On Page 20 of the RFQ it states, "Develop and provide a comprehensive pricing guide for container options, categorizing them by size and weight limits, and including clear and transparent pricing information." With the understanding that 30 CY is the requirement, what are the smallest and largest container options deemed acceptable?

Answer: The smallest and largest container options that are acceptable for this contract are 10 CY, 20 CY, and 30 CY. It's important to note that we have some work surfaces composed of dense particle boards that are significantly heavy when stacked on a pallet (4'x4') and reach a height of about 2ft, weighing nearly 1,000 lbs. Therefore, having too large of a container may make loading such items more difficult and hazardous. Please ensure that weight limits are included in the pricing guide.

2. Question: To confirm, Page 22, Item 2 states, "Following calls will be for 30 cy container to dispose of outdated modular furniture. Calls will come in for one container per week, up to 5 containers." Does this mean the call order will be for at least one container, but possibly up to 5 containers will be needed each week?

Answer: Initially, there will be a call for one container per week, and this is expected to continue for a period of about 5 weeks. Please note that our operation has space for only one container at a time. As we dispose of most of the current material on-site, the frequency of container requests will become less frequent. We will need to gather more material in terms of weight or volume before making the next call for a container after the first 5 containers, the number of containers needed for the remainder of the base year may vary depending on the workload and accumulation of material.

3. Question: Is the standard procedure for pick-up such that the Point of Contact (POC) will notify the contractor once the containers are full and need collecting, or does the weekly request for 1 to 5 containers mean that the contractor should take the existing containers away when delivering the new ones?

Answer: The standard procedure for pick-up is as follows: The Point of Contact (POC) will place a call to the contractor to request a haul, with or without a return. The POC will expect a reply from the contractor with a scheduled date for the haul and return, as appropriate. This means that the contractor will collect the filled containers when notified by the POC, rather than automatically taking them away when delivering new ones.

4. Question: Do you need the 30 CY containers to stay on site for monthly rental, or is this just on a request basis? If so, do you know how long the container will stay on site to be filled?

Answer: On request basis. 5 business day duration, once we have gathered sufficient material by weight or volume to fill a container, we will place a request a schedule for empty container drop, if a container is dropped as scheduled, we intend to place a haul request with or without an empty return within 5 business days from the drop.

5. Question: Item number 3 on the Estimated Workload Data sheet, I am assuming we are not providing any figures for this line since there was no detailed information on the “various sizes” that you will be requesting. However, do you have any idea of what sizes you will be looking for?

Answer: The smallest and largest container options that are acceptable for this contract are 10 CY, 20 CY, and 30 CY.

6. Question: Where is the physical location of the entrance and the bins location?

Answer: The address to the Denver Federal Center (DCS) is West 6th Avenue and Kipling Street, Lakewood, CO 80225. The location of container placement is south of building 56’s dock S6, closes DFC intersection to the area is Center Avenue and Fifth Street. See illustration below:

NOTE: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 562111 – Solid Waste Collection. The aforementioned NAICS Code must be listed in your System for Award Management (SAM) profile before award.

Contractors are highly encouraged to check their SAM.GOV profile to ensure NAICS Code 562111 is listed in their SAM.GOV profile whereas, it can take several days for the system to update to reflect an addition of a new NAICS code.
