SOURCES SOUGHT

This sources sought notice is for market research and acquisition planning purposes only. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. All interested and qualified concerns are encouraged to submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative and management capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to assist in determining appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted.

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Eastern Colorado Area Office in Loveland, Colorado has a requirement to provide services to perform removal/rebuild/re-installation of Relift Pumps at the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel at Leadville, Colorado.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

This requirement is to acquire contractor services to perform removal/rebuild/re-installation of Relift Pumps #1 & #3 at the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel Water Treatment Plant, (Leadville WTP), owned and operated by Reclamation. The Leadville WTP is located near Leadville, Colorado in Lake County. Relift pumps extract process water from the relift sump and convey it to the treatment plant solids contact clarifiers, within the WTP building.

TASK 1: Remove failed pumps / Install one spare

• Using crane, remove motor from Relift pump #1 and set aside, then remove pump from vault

• Using crane, Install spare pump and motor

• Perform startup to ensure correct operation

• Using crane, remove motor from Relift pump #3 and set aside, then remove pump from vault

TASK 2: Rebuild pumps #1 and #3

• Transport pumps to shop

• Perform complete rebuild on each pump per manufacturer’s specification

• Return pumps to Leadville plant

TASK 3: Re-Install Pump #3

• Using crane, re-install one rebuilt pump and motor to position #3 in relift vault

• Perform startup to ensure correct operation

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811310 “Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance”; and the small business size standard is $8.0 million; and the Product Service Code (PSC) is J043.

Capability statements should include the following information:

Firm’s name, address, telephone number, business size and type (8(a), HUB Zone, Service Disabled

Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number.

DUNS number Demonstration of the firm’s experiences related to relift pump repair services.

Provide the project title, location, detailed descriptions of the effort, dollar value, contract award, completion dates, and the customer’s name and telephone number.

Capability statements are to be submitted no later than January 26, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. MST. Submittals will be reviewed and considered by Reclamation during the solicitation planning process.
