Questions and Answer # 1:

1. Should the base bid for ladder be 562 or 562-C? The 'C' in the part number indicates ‘cage’, so we wanted to clarify whether or not that was intentional, since there is a FP system on this ladder. Model 562 should be the correct number. Work statement has been amended above.

2. What type of security door is preferred? One that swings down from base of cage, or hinged on the rail and covering the rungs? preference is hinged on the rail

3. Can you please detail the testing of the system requested per the 2D of the work statement?

Follow manufacturer’s warranty. If manufacture does not recommend a testing procedure, climb ladder with climbing sleeve and harness and test the range of motion

4. Do you want a swing-gate for the top of the existing two ladders and mid-height of the 34ft (replacing existing chains), and one also for the new 27ft ladder? 4x total? No

5. What is the current condition of the tanks in order to secure the ladder and fall arrest system in the scope of work? Tank is currently in operation to deliver water to the facilities. We cannot impact the water delivery.

6. What is the age of tanks and silo? Approx. 3 years

7. May we have some pictures of the current status and condition of the tanks and silo?

Unavailable at the present time. Please reference the for information drawings in the specification on the tanks.

8. Are the silos and tanks currently empty or is it being utilized? Utilized and filled with water

9. Is there a priority in which tank to complete first? No priority. Note that the contractor is to also install a ladder with climbers at Tohlakai Pumping Plant
