About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for a Bureau of Reclamation project in the Mid-Pacific Region. The amendment addresses contractor questions about a pumping system project, clarifying details such as pump configuration options and site access. The lake is currently at 751 ft, requiring a 14/15 ft lift to deliver flows, and Reclamation recommends diesel pumps based on current conditions. The contractor will provide training to field staff who will be operating the pumps, and site access will be through the main gate with 24-hour staffing.

The amendment specifies that contractors must submit a signed copy of the amendment with their quote, and failure to do so will result in the quote not being considered for award. The period of performance is from 01/09/2026 to 01/16/2026. Contractors have flexibility in pump configuration (diesel pump, submersible pump, or floating platform) as long as performance requirements are met. The solicitation requires the contractor to provide full operational monitoring for a 7-day period, with Reclamation staff receiving training on pump operation.

A. The purpose of this amendment is to address contractor(s) questions below:

1. Does Reclamation have a preferred configuration among the conceptual layouts shown (diesel pump, submersible pump, or floating platform), or are all approaches acceptable provided performance requirements are met?

It is the contractor choice, but currently the lake is at 751 ft with and from the locations to pump would be a 14/15 ft lift to deliver the flows. Reclamation recommends diesel pumps based on the current conditions.

2. Will Reclamation provide any on-site support personnel during system operation, or is the contractor expected to provide full operational monitoring for the 7-day period?

Yes, the contractor shall provide training to our field staff who will be using operating the pumps.

3. Are there any site access or security constraints that could affect mobilization timing or equipment staging beyond what is outlined in the solicitation?

Access would be through the main gate, there's staff 24hrs at this time who can let them in. Contractor just needs to check in and check out with the operator on duty.

B. Contractors are required to submit a signed copy of this amendment with their quote.

Contractors who fail to sign and submit a copy of this amendment with their quote will not be considered for award.

C. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
