A1. Yes. The POC's for each area are as follows:

Folsom South Canal - Jeremy Blansett -jblansett@usbr.gov, (916) 537-7235

Lake Berryessa - Kris Hirschbeck -khirschbeck@usbr.gov, (707) 966-2111 x 113 &

Q2. Can we have pre-bid site visits with this person?

A2. Yes, please see contact information above.

Q3. How accurate and updated are the maps for each of these projects? Can you provide KMZ's at this point? or full project maps? It is hard to actually see the units in the form they are currently provided. Will more detailed mapping be made available at some point?

A3. The Area offices (Lake Berry and New Melones) use KMZ files. Reclamation is working to secure these additional maps and will provide as soon as they become available.

Q4. Much of the mapped area for Auburn is not possible to graze (cliffs, slide areas where it is now just rock, no road access to get animals, water, or equipment to parcel, or areas that have been treated with chipping equipment in the last few years and have no vegetation growing.) There is also no road access for the northern portion of the Auburn Shaded Fuel break that allows us to access the property. Our suggestion was to either scrape an access road or send in hand crews ahead of time to provide tree removal so our team can access the area.

A4. The area of concern known as "edgehill shaded fuel break" has been worked on by hand crews and masticator (in some sections). Thirty of the 58 acres have been addressed - the remaining 28 acres are too steep and will need goats/sheep.

Access to the Project Area through neighborhood yards is now available.

Q5. Please provide more specific water locations, and staging areas for each of these projects. We need to see how far these locations are from treatment areas to determine logistics for hauling supplies, water, etc.

A5. Specific water locations at New Melones -

Water spigots are available at Administrative

Complex, Tuttletown and Glory Hole Recreation

Areas. Water would have to be moved to locations via water tank/truck.

Specific water locations at Lake Berryessa -

There is not a water source (other than the lake) near the area. A water tank could be filled at our admin. facilities.

Water locations at Folsom South Canal - Crew can utilize BOR hydrants at 7794 Folsom Dam Rd or get a meter from golden state water in gold river

($1200 refundable deposit)

Water locations at Auburn Project Lands - Crew can utilize ASRA hydrants/BOR hydrants or get a meter from Placer County Water Agency in Auburn

(about $1200 refundable deposit)

Q6. Will only goats be accepted as the approved species for these projects? It appears, based on maps, that for a few of these sites, sheep are the ideal species because of the grassy nature.

Limiting to one species will make it harder to complete this number of acres.

A6. The use of goats and/ or sheep can be utilized for these projects. It will be the contractor's responsibility to know which animal will be appropriate at each site.

Q7. Number of acreages at each location

A7. The acre at each site is listed within the

Solicitation page 5 of the Performance Work

Statement.

Auburn Shaded Fuel Break: 550 acres

Auburn 5 Year Fuels Reduction Area: 353 acres

Folsom South Canal: 200 acres

Lake Berryessa East Side Road: 529 acres

New Melones Lake Park Admin Area: 100 acres
