New Melones Mussel Prevention Education Cool Down Trailers Requirements (Revised 8/31/2021 Amendment A0002)
Description of Requirement:
This requirement is for the purchase of three (3) Enclosed New Melones Mussel Prevention Education Cool Down and Storage Trailers with modifications. The cost of the equipment must include shipping and freight. All equipment and parts must be new, no refurbished equipment or parts. Final design of trailer shall be approved by government representative prior to the trailers build out.
Specifications
Enclosure
· Interior floor dimensions should be about 24’ L x 8’ W with a height of about 7’. 2’ V-nose.
· Interior and exterior electrical package including four GFI 110v interior outlets (one near rear ramp on passenger side, two on driver side, and one in V-nose), one 12v interior outlet (in V-nose), one interior power switch, interior LED lights equaling 8’ length (equally distributed), 60 amp box with life line, and 12v battery with box and charger.
· One GFI 110v exterior outlet
· Exterior walls need to be 0.030-gauge aluminum.
· Exterior painted white.
· Galvalume roof
· 3/8” plywood ceiling liner
· White vinyl ceiling
· 3/8” plywood walls
· White vinyl walls
· Walls, floor and ceiling insulated
· 3/4” plywood floors
· Rubber Tread Plate flooring
· Separate side door with proper step for egress and ingress
· Rear ramp door with 16” extension, dual cable spring assist, and locking bar
· Side ramp door (36” W minimum) with 16” extension, dual cable spring assist, and locking bar and side door
· Ramp is on the side NOT in the V-nose
· Rubber Tread Plate on ramps
· Qty 2: 24x30 Widows plus screens and blinds on the side without the door
· QTY 1: 24x30 Window plus screen and blind on the side with the door
· QTY 1: 12x24 window plus screen with blind in the bathroom and an exhaust fan, with a light and switch
· QTY 1: attached ladder (in order to get on the roof for maintenance)
Trailer
· Tandem Axle with a rating of 3500lbs per axle
· 2-5/16in. ball hitch, A-frame coupler and safety chains
· Spare Tire and Spare Tire Mount (In-floor compartment mounting preferred, exterior mounting OK)
· DOT Approved Electric or Hydraulic Breaking System (Electric preferred)
· DOT Approved LED Trailer Highway lighting
Modifications
· 20’ L retractable, cloth RV awning mounted to passenger side of trailer (contractor should talk with the customer to determine the color of the awning)
· Installed 13,500 BTU A/C unit with heat strip (must include wires and brace) plus propane furnace.
· 2500 LP Onan Generator with 2,100-pound propane tank in a compartment
· LED trailer lighting inside and out, plus 2,100-watt solar panels with Inverter and Battery Charger with 2, Trojan T105, 6, Volt Lithium Batteries
· Base cabinet mounted on driver side 18’ L x 24” D x 36” H
· Base cabinet mounted in nose 15’ L x 36” H with mounted overhead cabinets 10’ L x 24” H
· Restroom with Kitchenette
· Couch futon (at least 70”) on passenger side with enclosed storage space underneath
· Should be touching wall
· Space between passenger-side couch and driver-side cabinets should be at least 36” to be ADA compliant
Exterior Modifications
· Education Wrap with Invasive, Non-Native Species Design. High gloss, reflective interpretive wrap on the outside and inside of the trailer (Design shall be finalized after award w/ vendor).
| -An anti-graffiti film on the exterior to reduce effects of vandalism. |
| -An ultraviolet protective coating to protect against fading. |
-Any recommendations from the Contractor on material and design elements shall be accepted with evidence supporting reduced vandalism, UV damage, and distortion by the Government.
-Contractor shall utilize content that reflects native and invasive species with the current state of scientific knowledge regarding dreissenid/mussels and wrap products shall effectively communicate a specialized prevention message provided by Reclamation. Final proofs shall be provided to Reclamation for approval prior to fabrication.
