The purpose of the Liquid Cooled Inductive Heating System is to Shrink Fit a part onto a shaft. The system shall include a cart or wheeled running gear and be able to heat the entire assembly/part to 200°F throughout within 2 hours. The work will be performed indoors at the John W. Keyes III Pumping-Generating Plant, with ambient temperatures ranging from 40°F to 100°F. The amendment also specifies that a high-temperature rope is required to wrap/strap the heating blanket(s) around the part during heating, as some surfaces to be heated are vertical. Offerors are required to acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the offer due date.

Question #2: You are asking about insulating or placing a heating blanket on top of the coil. Are you or your client worried about the potential low temperatures?
Answer #2: Perhaps "preheat induction blanket" would have been better wording here. The intent of the blanket is to contain the heating coils.
Question #3: You mention a high temperature rope.
What exactly are you looking for here?
Answer #3: A rope that can withstand the highest temperatures this system will produce - the rope cannot ever melt, burn or disintegrate. Intent is to use rope to wrap/strap the blanket(s) around the part during heating as some surfaces to be heated are vertical.
Question #4: Will you be preforming the work in a warehouse or in the field?
Answer #4: Work will be performed indoors at the
John W. Keyes III Pumping-Generating Plant.
Question #5: Would you happen to know the temperature range the Induction System will be working in?
Answer #5: Ambient temperature will range anywhere between 40°F and 100°F.
Question #6: You mention a cart or wheeled running gear. We just supply the Induction
System. Are you wanting something to be used in the field?
Answer #6: The liquid-cooled inductive heating system shall include a cart or wheeled running gear per the specification. Intent is that the entire system shall fit on/in the cart.
Question #7: Question: You sent 4 pictures of 4 different parts, could you please identify what areas of these parts you wish to heat, to what temperature and in what time frame?
Answer #7: Each entire assembly/part shown needs to be heated to 200°F throughout within 2 hrs.
However, not all 4 assemblies need to be heated at the same time.
All other terms and conditions remain the same.
