About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for the repair and overhaul of a 2,500 HP, 4,000V, 900 RPM motor (CRPP Motor No. 2) for the Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation. The amendment provides responses to 13 questions from potential offerors regarding the required work, available information, and site access. Key details include:

The motor is not operational, and the pre-disassembly voltage test and vibration analysis requirement has been removed from the Statement of Work. Reclamation does not have the motor's serial number but has provided photographs of a similar motor's nameplate. Offerors are directed to review drawings and specifications for part numbers and dimensions. The motor was last rebuilt in 2021 and experienced a failure during a thunderstorm, resulting in a short between two phases. Offerors are not required to provide pricing for a new motor, as that requirement has been removed. Work can begin immediately upon contract award.
