About this file

This document is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract for a National Park Service (NPS) fuel reduction project. The solicitation seeks a vendor to provide labor, equipment, and services for the ORCA Fuels Reduction Mid-slope 1 + 2 Cut and Pile project at a monument location. Contractor requirements include felling standing live trees <7" DBH and dead trees <13" DBH, pruning remaining trees, removing ladder fuels, bucking up dead and down material, and piling all resulting material on-site. Motorized equipment is limited to hand-held and hand-carried tools.

The amendment clarifies vendor questions, specifying a 1" size limitation for dead and down material, requiring piles to be 3' from trails, and establishing a 50' buffer from wet drainages. The project period of performance is from 09/15/2025 to 10/31/2025. The solicitation is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item procured under Subpart 12.6, with the National Park Service Con Ops Strategic Business Services Contracting Division as the issuing office. The work must be conducted to protect monument visitors, rare plants, archaeological sites, wildlife habitat, and minimize aesthetic impacts.
