SOLICITATION/REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NO. 120PS124R0007

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area – Hand Thinning and Hand Piling Hazardous Fuels
Project
(AMENDMENT 0002)
QUESTIONS RECEIVED AS OF 08/26/2024:
1. Question: Who is providing the 4 mil plastic or one sided kraft wax paper for the project?
ANSWER: The Government will supply 4 mil plastic and/or wax paper for this project. See Section
D.42 – Government Furnished Property/Information.
2. Question: We've identified some concerns related to the presence of power lines in the area that will require careful management and permitting. Specifically, we are keen to understand how you plan to address the key challenges surrounding access, erosion control, and working near the utility infrastructure.
Could you provide any guidance on how we should navigate these issues or any specific measures you recommend we take to ensure compliance and safety during the project?
ANSWER: The contractor is responsible for any permitting and coordination with power companies for work around power lines if applicable. Erosion control is a the responsibility of the contractor, and addressed in Section D.20 – Landscape Preservation.
The contractor is responsible for their own safety, and should prepare a plan that is appropriate for all the work required by this solicitation. (see Sections D.6, D.10, D.11, D.25, and D.35).
