STATEMENT OF WORK

Background This project involves the installation of a new water supply and return line for the WEAR Maintenance Shop to address a critical failure in the existing copper supply line. The current copper line has developed a significant break, causing water leakage and discharge into the building, creating operational disruptions and potential structural damage. The water supply is being shut off until the new line can be installed. This work is necessary to restore reliable water access for essential maintenance operations. The installation will be performed by an outside contractor with the necessary expertise during the summer of FY25.

· Purpose/relationship to other projects: The installation of the new water supply line is critical for the operational efficiency of the WEAR Maintenance Shop, which requires reliable water access to maintain tools and equipment used in park maintenance activities.

Scope

3.1.1 Task 1 – Site Assessment

· The contractor shall assess the current water supply line condition and prepare a site plan for the new installation, documenting existing conditions and identifying any potential complications.

3.1.2 Task 2 – Excavation and Preparation

· The contractor shall perform excavation for the installation of the new water supply and return line while protecting existing utilities and structures.

3.1.3 Task 3 – Installation of New Water Supply and Return Line

· The contractor shall install the new water supply and return line using durable, quality materials that meet all relevant standards.

3.1.4 Task 4 – Restoration and Cleanup

· The contractor shall restore the area affected by construction, including backfilling the excavation site and ensuring the work location is clean and orderly upon completion.

Delivery

· Deliverables:

· Completed installation of the new water supply and return line.

· A detailed report on the installation process and any variations from planned specifications.

· Delivery time: The contractor shall complete the installation by October FY25.

· Delivery location: The installation work will occur at the WEAR Maintenance Shop (DQ Shop).

· Supporting documentation: The contractor shall provide a completion report, including as-built drawings, warranties for materials and workmanship, and any manuals for maintenance.

· Additional information: The contractor shall schedule a final walkthrough with the designated park representative to confirm project completion.

Government-Furnished Property, Material, Equipment, or Information (GFP, GFM, GFE, GFI)

The government will provide access to the worksite and existing infrastructure information as necessary for the contractor to perform their work effectively.

Security Considerations

· Special pass or identification requirements: The contractor must obtain the necessary site access passes for all personnel working on the project.

· Special security clearance requirements: No special security clearance is required for this project.

Travel

The contractor shall arrange and bear all costs associated with travel to and from the project site.

Special Material Requirements and Considerations

The contractor must use materials that are compatible with the recommended material from the local city public works department.

Other Unique Requirements

The contractor shall follow all safety regulations and best practices while performing excavation and construction activities to minimize risk to personnel and the site.
