About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation Number 140P9725Q0019, issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service Alaska Region for a 32' Research Vessel (Aluminum Landing Craft). The Q&A addresses six specific technical specification clarifications, including modifications to requirements for trim tabs, deck coating, seating, tow posts, trailer material, and confirmation that an onboard toilet is not required.

Key technical revisions include acceptance of commercial-grade Zip Wake trim tab systems, allowing either non-skid paint or bead blasted deck surfaces, specifying acceptable shock-absorbing seat mounting systems (with brands like Garelick and FOX), confirming 10"-14" aluminum pipe tow bitts, and permitting both galvanized and aluminum trailers. The document provides detailed guidance on specific components and configurations, helping potential bidders understand precise equipment expectations for the research vessel procurement.
