About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) Answers document for National Park Service solicitation 140P8526Q0012, which addresses contractor questions regarding installation of a residential fire sprinkler system at a property in Yosemite National Park.
The RFI responses clarify key scope and site condition items for bidders. Notable confirmations include: drawings and as-builts must be submitted to NPS; attic access is available; NPS will provide power to the alarm bell and remove the existing pressure reducer valve; a standard wet system (rather than antifreeze) is preferred to prevent freezing; and NPS or its contractor will install the underground tee and stub-out connection in the crawlspace, with the fire sprinkler contractor's scope beginning at the provided connection point. NPS is also providing layouts from the Building and Grounds Supervisor for ceiling fan installation and HVAC register placement. The solicitation is set-aside for Small Business concerns only (NAICS 238220, size standard $19.0 million), with construction value less than $25,000. Proposals are due February 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM PST via email to Brian Roppolo at brian_roppolo@nps.gov. Buy American requirements (FAR 52.225-10) apply to this procurement.
