140P8525Q0019 Amd 0001 – Lumber and Plywood for Yosemite NP Page 1 of 1

RFQ 140P8525Q0019

SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF LUMBER AND PLYWOOD FOR YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Questions and Answers

The following are questions and answers received during the RFQ:

1. In the attached document it states that vehicle over 45ft in length cannot be used for delivery.

Does this apply to all delivery locations? Being that that there is a 45ft restriction, it appears that the use of 18 wheelers with flatbed trailers would not be able to be used.

a. The 45-foot length restriction applies to all deliveries located in El Portal and Yosemite Valley.

2. Could you please clarify how many items are required for the quantities that are marked as unit?

a. Answer: Please see updated price schedule and specifications. The unit quantities have been updated to reflect the overall amount of each item needed.

3. Do you have the previous incumbent for this requirement?

a. Answer: There is not an incumbent for this award. This is a new requirement.

4. Is Douglas Fir required for the pressure treated items?

a. Answer: No, this is for standard pressure treated.

5. In the specifications for the requested lumber, there is an industry standard moisture requirement of 19% for framing lumber and boards and 25% for timbers that are 5 inches and thicker. Is there a requirement to have the lumber dried after treatment? If the lumber will be used outside drying may not be necessary.

a. Answer: No, there is not a requirement to have the lumber dried.

A total of 5 questions were received in response to this solicitation as of April 8th, 2025.
