RFI 001 – 140P8523Q0060 JOMU Collection Condition Survey

As the CCS deliverables must contain at least one photograph for each object/representative grouping, is the contractor required to photograph each of the 292 individual objects and the 745 other objects as part of the on-site CCS tasks? Can the other 745 items be photographed in representative groupings/samples?

For the 292 individual objects we are requiring individual photographs to be taken. For the 745 other objects, they can be photographed in representative groupings.

o Can the contractor utilize existing photographs of the items, if they exist and reflect the current condition of the items?

We are requiring new photography of items so that we may record the current condition.

o If photographs exist and contractors are allowed to use prior photographs, approximately how many of these objects have been photographed?

We do not have current photographs.

Given the low light levels at the site, are task lamps available on-site, or is the contractor expected to furnish their own lamps?

The contractor should provide task lamps.

For the audio-visual media (37 items), is the contractor expected to assess the readability/playability of the media, or only to assess the material stability of the components?

Just the material stability needs to be assessed.

Will the CO and COR consider a longer Period of Performance for this contract to allow for more time to compile the report and a longer NPS review period?

The information in this survey is needed to inform work being funded in FY25, so, unfortunately, we need to stick with the current timeline and period of performance.
