About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 140P8323Q0039 from the National Park Service for the purchase of four conex storage containers. All four containers will be delivered by the contractor to a single location at Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve in Arco, Idaho, where they will remain. The delivery site is a level area composed of compacted cinders, and there is sufficient space for unloading the containers. While two truck deliveries may be required due to container size, there is only one delivery location. The delivery path has no sharp turns or drop-offs, and tree limbs can be raised to provide 14 feet of clearance for trucks.

Amendment 0001 140P8323Q0039 Purchase of Four(4) Conex Storage Containers
Amendment 0001 Attachment 2: Question(s) and Answer(s) Craters of the Moon NM&P
Question and Answer for Solicitation no. 140P8323Q0039
Q1: What is the physical address of where the containers will be moved to at a later point?
A1: All 4 containers will be delivered by the contractor to one location, the 'boneyard area' at Craters of the Moon, 1266 Craters Loop Road, Arco Idaho 83213 and will remain there. If the containers are moved at a later date it will be by the park and beyond the scope of this contract.
Q2: Can containers be delivered to 2nd location to start with?
A2: There is no second location. Maybe there is some confusion with the mention of 'two deliveries'?
What is meant by 'two deliveries' is that it is anticipated that it will require two separate truck deliveries (2 containers per trip) to get four containers to CRMO boneyard.
Q3: What kind of ground are the containers going to be placed on at both drop locations?
(gravel/concrete/ dirt/ grass)
A3: Containers to be placed on level area composed of compacted cinders. There is only one drop/delivery location.
Q4: How much space do you have for unloading? (need 110-130 ft from the point where we start to touch the ground and pull out from underneath the container)
A4: Yes, there is a straight-ish path for the delivery truck to drop the container and pull forward. It may be necessary for the delivery truck to back down the road to the delivery point.
Q5: Is there any sharp turns or drop-offs on the path from the main road to the drop spots at both locations?
A5: There is only one delivery location. No sharp turns or drop off's/significant changes in grade.
Contractors are encouraged to visit the site before delivery.
Q6: Is there a 13'6" height clearance on both properties?
A6: There is only one delivery location. The is one tree alongside the delivery road but it can be limbed up before delivery to create 14' of clearance.
