Notice of Intent to Award

The National Park Service, Olympic National Park has a need for installation of emergency equipment in the Division’s fleet of law enforcement vehicles. Olympic National Park require fleet consistency for the installation of law enforcement and emergency equipment on fleet vehicles identified, such as light bars, push bumpers, prisoner transport systems, trunk vault style security boxes, and related after-market emergency equipment. The vehicle decals will be provided by the National Park Service and installed per agency policy.

Olympic National Park Contracting Office in Port Angeles, WA intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price purchase order to install emergency equipment in the Division’s fleet of law enforcement vehicles at Olympic National Park. This requirement was previously solicited as an annual purchase with a specific number of vehicles. Because vehicles are sourced from General Services Administration (GSA), the qualities, make and model, and delivery date of vehicles are often times unclear. It is in the Government’s best interest to award an annual base Firm Fixed Price purchase order with four option years.

This services procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) soliciting after receiving only two quotes. The anticipated award date is August 16, 2019. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811118, Other Automotive Mechanical and Electrical Repair and Maintenance. Awarded vendor: Systems for Public Safety, Inc., 8909 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499.

In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(15)(i), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses, or any comments and questions regarding this notice may be directed to Mickey Chisolm, Contracting Officer, Mickey_Chisolm@nps.gov.
