About this file
This document is a Justification for Brand Name Products, which provides approval for the National Park Service (NPS) to limit competition to specific brand name lighting products for the Theodore Roosevelt National Park street lamp project.
The NPS is seeking to procure Acuity Brands Halophane LED Lumineers and Salem Aluminum poles to provide consistent and visually appealing lighting that aligns with the existing infrastructure in the neighboring town of Medora. The NPS justifies the use of these brand name products as being essential to meet the agency's requirements, as the unique technology and specifications are only available from the single manufacturer. A presolicitation notice will be posted on SAM.gov for this acquisition over $25,000. The procurement is necessary to ensure uniformity in the lighting design between the park and town.
