About this file
This document is an Amendment of Solicitation (SF-30) for Solicitation No. 140P5425Q0032, dated August 11, 2025, providing clarifications and responses to vendor questions for a project involving vista clearing and an observation tower at Shark Valley. The amendment addresses three key questions: pricing sheet scope, debris disposal requirements, and equipment use during the rainy season. Vendors must provide distinct pricing for Vista Clearing - Main Park Road and Vista Clearing - Shark Valley Access Road, and follow specific debris disposal guidelines that vary by location. For the Shark Valley Observation Tower, all trimmings must be moved by hand, chipped, and hauled away, while for Vista Clearing, only fine mulched trimmings may be spread beyond the clearing zone.
Regarding equipment use, tracked equipment is permitted per the Statement of Work (SOW), but contractors are responsible for evaluating weather and soil conditions to prevent rutting or terrain damage. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by signing and returning a copy with their offer or acknowledging receipt in the SF-1449 space. The amendment emphasizes the importance of careful equipment operation and precise pricing breakdowns, indicating a detailed and environmentally conscious approach to the park maintenance project.

Amendment of Solicitation / Modification of Contract (SF-30) Solicitation No.: 140P5425Q0032 Amendment No.: 0002 Date: August 11, 2025
14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION:
The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to vendor questions received in response to Solicitation No. 140P5425Q0032. This amendment also clarifies certain scope and performance requirements.
A. Vendor Questions and Government Responses
Question 1: Price Sheet Scope Clarification The pricing sheet includes line items for Shark Valley Observation Tower and Vista Clearing
– Main Park Road. Should pricing for the Vista Clearing – Shark Valley Access Road be included under the “Vista Clearing – Main Park Road” line item or under the “Shark Valley Tower” line item?
Government Response:
Offerors must provide a more detailed pricing breakdown with their offer that clearly separates costs for Vista Clearing – Main Park Road and Vista Clearing – Shark Valley Access Road. Do not combine pricing under a single line item. Each area should be priced distinctly.
Question 2: Debris Disposal Requirements Can trimmings be chipped and spread beyond the clearing zone, or must all debris be removed from the park?
Government Response:
• Shark Valley Observation Tower: All trimmings must be moved by hand, chipped, and hauled away from the site.
• Vista Clearing: Trimmings that are not mulched into fine cuttings must be moved by hand, chipped, and hauled away. Only fine mulched trimmings may be spread beyond the clearing zone.
Question 3: Equipment Use During Rainy Season The SOW allows for tracked equipment use. However, ruts on the terrain are not permitted.
Can the contractor use heavy equipment during the rainy season?
Government Response:
Yes, tracked equipment is allowed per the SOW; however, contractors are responsible for evaluating weather and soil conditions prior to equipment use. The use of heavy machinery is prohibited if it results in rutting or other damage to the terrain.
B. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.
Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment in accordance with the solicitation instructions, including by signing and returning a copy of this amendment with their offer, or by acknowledging receipt in the space provided in the SF-1449.
