Question #1: What was the reason for the reposting of this solicitation? Knowing whether there were specific challenges or changes in scope can help us better align our proposal with the current needs and expectations.
Answer: The requirement was modified due to budgetary constraints.
Question #2: The solicitation says that the park will provide one round-trip. If each generator is to be load bank, it is a four hour minimum load bank. There are five total generators on the island so it will most likely be for additional trips. Can the park provide a price they would charge for those four trips?
Answer: The round trip is for the contractor’s mode of transportation to the island (i.e. work truck). The park can work with the awardee to provide transportation to the island for “personnel only” for any additional trips that are required to complete the Load Tests. The only additional transportation the government will offer is the park’s regularly scheduled crew boat which leaves the mainland promptly at 7:00 AM and leaves the island between 4:30 and 4:45 PM each day. Any transportation outside of those timeframes will be the responsibility of the awardee (rent a boat, purchase ferry tickets, etc.).
Note: Any answers or clarifications that add to or change any information currently in the statement of work (SOW) will be incorporated before award. Acknowledgement of these answers demonstrates offeror’s receipt of updated info.
