Question #1: Can we have the engineering specifications and drawings for the three buildings?
Answer: Presently we do not have any drawings or specs at these (3) locations. We do have the measurements of the area. Fee Booth is 16.43ft x 9.33ft, Bookstore is 27.7ft x 14.3ft and the Visitor Center at Fort Matanzas has two rooms (zones), one is 14ft x 10ft and other room is 9.5ft x 16ft.
Question #2: Due to the environmental location of the HVAC unit installations, can there be language added to include the application of applied corrosion preventive compound?
Answer: Yes, preventative compounds can be used to prolong the life of units.
Question #3: What is the intended date of the installation?
Answer: That will be based on your best estimated completion time provided with your quote (factoring in availability of your proposed equipment)
Question #4: Will there be a designated area for delivery and temporary storage of installation equipment?
Answer: At both Castillo de San Marcos and at Fort Matanzas, there will be a designated area for this.
Question #5: In the ticket booth area, do you want to get more air there because it is still warmer in the summer?
Answer: We would like to see more volume of air to create a positive pressure ensuring this place stays cool.
Question #6: In the bookstore, do you want to put a ducted split with the condenser and the air handler going in attic access?
Answer: Yes, we want a ducted split unit with an air handler and a condenser unit up top. The exterior window can be removed to put in the units. See pictures in attachment 2 to this amendment
Question #7: Is there a certain reason you are requesting Diakin units?
Answer: We are accepting comparables.
Question #8: Please provide the exact tonnage of the indoor and outdoor units so we can provide a more accurate quote for both facility units. Mainly the “2 Zone” system referenced for the FOMA Visitor Center. I see the CU is 2 tons, but what tonnage are the indoor units attached?
Answer: For the FOMA Visitor Center, replace with equivalent. See nameplate data below
Question #9: For the 2nd unit," (1) Single, 18.00 SEER Variable-Speed Air Handler Insulated Duct System,
(1) Two-Stage Heat Pump Condenser meeting above energy efficient standards (or approved equivalent)." what is the Tonage for this unit?
Answer: Please see nameplate data in attachment 2 to this amendment
Question #10: Would an Allied Lynx split system work for the ducted system? They have an inverter variable speed and come with an Omni guard coil coating from the factory.
Answer: Yes, that is an option we can accept.
Question #11: Please provide the square footage of all 3 areas you want serviced
