140P5421Q0033 Amendment 1 Attachment 1

Question #1: Are there any pictures and floor plans available?

Answer: Yes. floor plan (without dimensions) and photos attached. See Atch 2 to Am 1 Layout and Pics.pdf.

Question #2: For the floor trim and quarter round it says it must match existing colors; are you looking for it to match the flooring being installed? or match the wall colors?

Answer: Color must match existing walls and baseboards.

Question #3: The whole project is approximately 1700sf; what is the linear footage for base trim and quarter round?

Answer: Approximately 900 LF.

Question #4: What type of furniture is there that will need to be moved?

Answer: Kitchen has 2 refrigerators, table with chairs, service closet has a washer and dryer and other assorted stuff. Each bedroom has a dresser, bed, bedside table, desk. The den has 2 sofas, and several chairs, tv, and a couple of tables.

Question # 5: is it glued down carpet? If so is it carpet tile or sheet carpet (12 foot wide)?

Answer: From what we can tell it is not glued down and it is standard 12 ft wide residential carpet.

Question #6: Could 5mm-6mm thick stone polymer core be an acceptable substitute for the 8mm thick wood plastic core?

Answer: Yes

Question #7: For the High Grade Locking Vinyl Wood Plank Flooring (LVT), the flooring requirements state that: the LVT be a “Brown Oakish Color”; be able to meet ABA Compliance (Section 302 & 303);

have a minimum of 8mm thickness / maximum thickness to be 20 mil. wear layer; and the dimensions are to be approximately 7” x 48”. Are there any additional specifics and/or client preferences for the type and manufacturer of the Flooring?

Answer: No.

Question #8: It is very common for LVT to have an underlayment/backing already attached to it. Would this type of LVT be acceptable? If LVT with attached underlayment is used, would an additional, separate acoustical layer pad also be required?

Answer: Yes. A separate acoustic pad is part of the project. The park is fine if the LVT has an attached underlayment, but the project would still require a separate pad.

Question #9: The requirement states that “Contractor must also provide and install painted base trim (or quarter round molding depending on the room) “to match existing room colors” and to cover installation gaps. Base trim is original and will not be removed. All rooms will require painted quarter round to cover up the ends and seams of the vinyl plank flooring”. Should the new Quarter Round match the “existing rooms wall color” as stated in the Synopsis / Solicitation, or to should it match the existing baseboard and trim color? Please advise, and provide what the wall paint color name and number is that the new “painted quarter round” is to match. Note: The existing trim and baseboard

140P5421Q0033 Amendment 1 Attachment 1 looks to be either a painted light white wash or “a transparent light grey stain” on the wood, as it is allowing the natural grain to be seen through the existing trim and base board wood.

Answer: It should match the baseboard.

Question # 10: RFQ States that Period of Performance (POP) is 06/28/2021 -07/28/2021; anticipated to be 30 days. As all materials are to be approved by the COR prior to purchase and installation, the COR/ End User-selected materials will most likely require additional time for the submittal review and response process, placing the order; manufacturing if selection is not local and/or not in stock; and shipping and delivery. Please confirm that the 30-day POP begins at Notice to Proceed, with allowance for material lead times.

Answer: As stated in the solicitation multiple times, the period of performance is approximate and you are required to include your best estimated time frame (which factors in the availability of your proposed materials) with your offer.

Question # 11: What if we are proposing a different material of laminate floor? Would that be acceptable?

Answer: Any product offered must meet or exceed the specs required. You are invited to submit your offer for evaluation by the technical team to determine if it meets/exceeds the need but you MUST include product literature for review along with your offer in the same single pdf.

**NOTE: An updated Statement of Work (SOW) is not being attached to this amendment, however, any answers or clarifications that add to or change any information currently in the performance work statement will be incorporated before award. Acknowledgement of these answers demonstrates offeror’s receipt of updated info.
