About this file

This document is a project specification for the installation of new intrusion and fire alarm systems at the Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site in Hyde Park, New York.

The project consists of removing the existing intrusion detection systems at the Val Kill Factory and Stone Cottage, and installing new intrusion detection systems at those two locations. Additionally, a new fire alarm and intrusion detection system will be installed at the Top Cottage. The systems will be connected to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service MegaCenter for monitoring. Key requirements include providing separate point addresses for each initiating device, conducting functional testing, and addressing any deficiencies discovered during testing. The work must be completed by April 2024 and coordinated to minimize disruption to the government's ongoing operations and public access to the historic site.
