Solicitation No. 140P4522R0001 – SAHO Bldg. 20 A/C Units Amendment No. 0002
Q & A
1. Would your agency consider an alternate bid where the oil-fired boiler and the associated hot water coil is dismantled and removed. Two (2) new 2-ton Heat Pumps with a 7 KW auxiliary heating kit would be installed to provide all heating and cooling needs of the building? This approach is consistent with the Governments transition to Clean Energy.
Answer: The Park does not want to go with a Heat Pump.
2. The existing supply ductwork does not contain a Flex Connector to isolate the Fan Coil from the ductwork. Should a Flex Connectors be included in the scope of work?
Answer: Yes. All work shall be completed by code and the installation shall be completed as per the manufacturer.
3. Should new condensate pumps be included in the scope of work?
Answer: Yes, new condensation pumps should be included for both units.
4. Would we want the condensers raised a bit to make sure they are out of the flood plane?
Answer: The condensers does not need to be raised. Just placed on a new Pad.
