The key details are: the contract period of performance is currently 6/14/2024 to 7/15/2025 but is negotiable; a conservator's degree is required and cannot be waived; the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) cost of $2,000K for the conservation of two gilt wood sofas under VAMA 214620A may need to be adjusted to account for shipping and material costs; the government will review the NTE cost and make any necessary adjustments prior to award, or during performance if the NTE is insufficient. Title: Furniture Conservaon Contractor
Park / Place of Performance: Historic Architecture Conservaon and Engineering Center (HACE) at Boot Mill, 115 John Street, Lowell, MA.
RFI Responses
1. What is the period of performance for this contract.
A: Current Period of performance on the solicitaon is 6/14/2024-7/15/2025 and will be adjusted based on award date. Start date is negoable prior to award but will remain at 11-month meline.
2. Can a copy of the conservator’s degree be waived for proposal submital? No, a proposal for treatment instead of proof of educaon will not be accepted.
3. According to the SOW for VAMA 214620A: Conservaon of Tow Gilt Wood Sofas, the NTE CLIN is $2,000K. Aer reviewing the scope, the NTE costs are not sufficient. The costs are lacking shipping costs and some degree of materials factored in. Can the government please reassess the current NTE dollar value for this project.
A: Quotes should be submited with pricing for requested CLINs. The NPS will review the NTE cost above and if it is determined an adjustment is required, a change will be made prior to award. If change is not made prior to award, a modificaon can be made during the performance if the NTE is not sufficient.
