About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for invasive plant treatment services required by the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve (NERI) and Bluestone National Scenic River (BLUE) in West Virginia.
The SOW outlines the requirements for the contractor to provide labor, equipment, tools, pesticides, and other services to treat invasive plant species in seven locations across Fayette, Raleigh, and Summers counties. The treatment areas total approximately 76 acres and include Red Ash Island, Rush Run, Bluestone DNR Area, Steep Valley Wildfire 1 & 2, and Wild Rock Wildfire. The contractor must be authorized to apply pesticides in West Virginia and have demonstrated experience in invasive plant treatment and GPS data collection. The period of performance is from July 1, 2024 to July 15, 2025, with specific deadlines for the Steep Valley Wildfire and Wild Rock Wildfire areas. Performance will be measured based on the extent of invasive species elimination in each treatment area. The SOW provides details on treatment methods, data collection, points of contact, and the overall project administration requirements.
