Q3. Will additional questions be allowed once an inventory is provided?

A3. Yes, final questions are due by 12PM September 2, 2022.

Q4. The SOW calls for treatment of photographs, but the three reference images are of paper and parchment documents.

A4. The three images included with the original SOW are items with additional three dimensional components in need of reproduction. Reference A1, and see attached images, MAWA (8) 112.tif, MAWA

(9) 108.tif, and MAWA (12) 5891.tif for details.

Q5. Is there a preference for digital reconstruction or physical reconstruction of three dimensional components? How many items include additional components in need of reproduction?

A5. Reference A1 and A4. See updated reproduction guidance in the SOW.

Q6. Are there variable or unknown treatment components to the project? If so, how should we construct our bid? Can the requirement be split into multiple line items for known tasks and tasks with unknown variables?

A6. No, this is a Firm Fixed Price requirement. Attached updates to the SOW and Q&A responses should resolve any variables/unknowns and provide sufficient information for a Firm Fixed Price quote.

Q7. Existing frames may not accommodate newly matted reproductions. What should the contractor do if the reproductions cannot fit in the original frames with new matting? What are the options for alternate frames?

A7. Original items will be housed in archival folders, reproductions will be returned to the original frames. Reusing original framing and glazing is a priority. In instances where *****ASK ANGELA*** the matting in the original frames needs to be replaced, select replacement matting of appropriate thickness to fit in existing frames.

Q8. When reframing reproductions, should old glazing be retained or should new UV acrylic be used?

A8. No, neither new UV filtering plexi or new frames are required.

Q9. Please confirm that NPS will provide initial delivery of the artifacts to the contractor. Also please confirm that the contractor is not expected to pack the outgoing artifacts.

A9. Yes, NPS will deliver and pick up the items. However, the contractor is expected to pack the items for transport following treatment and inspection as clarified in the updated SOW.
