140P4222Q0058 – SHEN Post Productions Services Q & A

140P4222Q0058 – Interpretive Film Post Production Services for Shenandoah National Park

Q & A

Question: Is there a treatment or outline or other creative for the film? The SOW is billed as a Post Production contract but we would need a report on the intention of the project and the production work to date to fulfill the vision for the film.

Answer: There is a “shooting script” that describes the intent and addresses the vision.

Question: Are you working with specific PBS member station for the project?

Answer: No, not at this time.

Question: The SOW specifically mentions budgeting for post production tasks (offline edit, online edit, graphics/animation, audio post, SDH/AD) but also mentions a scriptwriter, narrator and original music. We will budget for these tasks unless we hear otherwise.

Answer: Correct

Question: The SOW mentions the possibility of pick-up location shoots. We will put these as an addenda budget with a crew of one (Director of Photography) and 4K camera package unless a larger crew or additional gear is recommended/required.

Answer: Requirements will be pretty specific and may include shallow underwater, drone/aerial, and timelapse shots among others.

Question: Does the music have to be an original score or can it be any work with worldwide rights in perpetuity?

Answer: We want an original orchestral score.

Question: Has the 100TB of footage been logged or organized in any way?

Answer: Yes. It is logged.

Question: Should we propose dates for the production and review schedule in our bid or will they be worked out with client at a later date?

Answer: That would be worked out at a later date.
