QUESTIONS & ANSWERS REGARDING:
SOLICITATION/REQUEST FOR Quotes NO. 140P3022Q0016
Amendment 0001
Fuel Island Probe Repair/Replacement at Prince William Forest Quote
(AMENDMENT 0001)
QUESTIONS RECEIVED AS OF 2/24/2022:
1. After visiting Prince William Forest located 17900 Park Headquarter Rd Triangle VA. on Tuesday.
I contacted a local veeder-root contractor to inquire of a dual probe that would communicate a signal to the existing TLS 350 veeder-root monitor. I was informed that no such dual probe exists for reading oil and water separately for the TLS-350 monitor. Attached below is the web site of the veeder-root contractor. Pending my finding, what actions if any should we pursue?
ANSWER:
Please refer to the Scope of Work as it states in section C.3.1 that the contractor shall research all of probes/floats monitoring assemblies. See script below:
Contractor shall research to determine the correct dual-purpose probe, sensor, and float assembly that will monitor the correct level of storm water and ground oils that will be required for separation in the underground holding tank that is located just behind the fuel monitoring building at the park maintenance facility.
If one manufacturer does not make the probe/float assembly needed, then further research by the contractor is needed to obtain one that will work with our system.
