QUESTIONS & ANSWERS REGARDING:
SOLICITATION/REQUEST FOR QUOTE NO. 140P3021Q0054
Amendment 0001
Design Sign CAD Files and Obtain Permits Project (Manassas National Battlefield)
(AMENDMENT 0001)
QUESTIONS RECEIVED AS OF 8/03/2021:
1. Question: Do you have a designated permit coordinator for this project?
ANSWER: The Contractor shall be responsible for coordination with the V-DOT point of contact. The park does not currently have a designated permit coordinator. Please provide supplemental clarification on what roles/duties a designated permit coordinator would entail.
2. Question: Where should I file for a permit?
ANSWER: The permit shall be filed with the Virginia Department of Transportation and the appropriate division members within the Integrated Directional Signing Program and other V- DOT signage related entities. Certain signage will also require coordination with V-DOTs Statewide Contractor, Directional Signing Program, LLC (DSP). Exact POCs for V-DOT and the submission for permitting will be provided upon award.
3. Question: I need additional information related to obtaining a permit once the design is complete.
Please advise.
ANSWER: Supplemental guidance will be provided upon award for the permitting as required by the awarded contractor. The Integrated Directional Signing Program (V-DOT) requires coordination and permitting through the Directional Signing Program, LLC (DSP, V-DOTs statewide contractor) for sign Directional Signs. For Gateway signs a Local Land Use Permit will be required through V-DOTs permitting officials. All other V-DOT sign permitting regulations apply.
