About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for Western Red Cedar Shakes for the Jewel Cave National Historic Site, issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service. The amendment provides responses to requests for information, including confirmation of the required shingle thickness (5/8"), clarification that the shingles are Certi-sawn, not Certi-grade, and that the proper terminology is "taper-sawn shakes" rather than "shingles." The amendment also confirms that the site has a bobcat with forks instead of a forklift, and that 18-wheeler delivery is possible, either to the maintenance shop or visitor center. The solicitation number is 140P2124Q0133, and the due date remains unchanged at May 29, 2024, 12:00 CST.
