A1: It would be preferrable if they were completed projects, and we would like to see examples of filed plats included with submission.

However, any project over 50% completion will be accepted.

Q2: Will the use of a side by side off road vehicle or similar be allowed?

A2: Off road travel is not preferred; however, there may be some administrative use allowed with prior approval from the Chief Ranger for the AT.

Q3: Will the setting of Intermediate On-line

Monuments be required between the subject parcel

415-18 and the existing property parcels 415-07 and 415-13?

A3: The existing Fed boundary probably has intermediary monuments in the ground, and they are to be left in place. The intent is not to set any new monuments along existing Fed boundary unless controlling corner(s) are determined obliterated or lost. If it is determined that intermediary monuments were not previously set, there is no need to establish them during this survey.

Q4: On Page 16 of 23 of the SOW:

Obliteration of Old Line Markings: The signs and posts (if applicable) originally installed along the old Exterior Corridor Boundary must be removed and salvaged for future use. Blazes must be painted over with OSHA approved exterior black or gray enamel provided by the contractor.

References will be painted over but left in place. Monuments and caps will be left in place.

Please confirm that the SOW includes

¿Obliteration of Old Line Markings¿ between the subjectparcel 415-18 and the existing property parcels 415-07 and 415-13?

A4: Obliteration of boundary will occur between existing fed boundary 415-07 and 415-13, and that includes marking over old paint and pulling old boundary signs and posts (includes every type of

(Other Survey Tasks)

¿All Exterior Corridor Boundary lines will be marked with blazing, paint, and signage. (see

Exhibit B ¿Line Marking and Posting Attachment¿ for more details and specifics)¿

Will NPS Provide the Signs, or will Contractor need to provide the signs for the exterior boundary marking?

A5: The contractor will provide signs and other material needed to complete the project, in coordination with the NPS. See page 5 of 23

(sec. II (c) 5a) and page 9 of 23 (Items to deliver by Contractor).

Q6: Statement of Work, Page 15 of 23, Item 1

(Boundary Signs)

If signs will need to be affixed to Metal Fence

Posts or a Carsonite Post, is there a preferred color for each?

A6: Boundary signs will be affixed to standard green metal fence posts, in the rare event that a

Carsonite post is appropriate, they will be brown.

Q7: Statement of Work, Page 6 of 23, Item No. 6

(Other Survey Tasks)

Will the Exterior Boundary line marking and posting be able to be performed at the same time as the rest of the surveying functions, or will that have to be performed after the property has been transferred to NPS?

A7: Marking the boundary is considered a post-acquisition task and is assumed to be completed once the tract is owned by the United

States, managed by the NPS. However, it is anticipated that NPS will close on this acquisition prior completion of the survey work.

Can be discussed at prework meeting.
