ECCD Audit Data Base and System - RFI Questions
Vendor QuestionsGovernment Response
1. Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this? (like, from India or Canada)Your firm must be registered in the System for Award Management www.SAM.gov to submit a proposal for this requirement.
2. Whether we need to come over there for meetings?Yes, there may be a requirement to participate in meetings within the US.
3. Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside the USA? (like, from India or Canada)Yes. As long as the company can meet any requirements about core service hours, their location is irrelevant.
4. Can we submit proposals via email?Responses to this RFI are required via email.
5. Please describe the anticipated landscape of 3rd party system integration needs. This includes expected integration needs to move data out of legacy environments, and integration needs to data that will continue to reside in your current systems of record. The ultimate goal is to have a database of findings containing historical and current data, all searchable and mineable. To get there, the Government sees: 1) a transfer of historical data to the new database; 2) a sysstem that can easily accept newly identified findings through a standardized process and that complies with the naming conventions; 3) manipulation of the historical and current data to comply with newly adopted naming conventions for database usage such as trend analysis and finding status; and 4) automatically generated dashboards and notifications from the data.
6. What different user personas should the system be expected to support? Only the auditors or other external user types as well?Mostly governmental employees, but the qualifier is whether or not they have a PIV card.
7. Is there any PII information that needs to be stored in the system? No - usually just first and last names and phone numbers, at most.
8. How is the federal and state environmental legal content currently housed or to be stored? In what format? Is there an example that could be provided?Currently housed on an NPS SharePoint site. In the future, housing them both on an NPS SharePoint site and the contractor server would be ideal. Example will be provided.
9. What format is the data export from ColdFusion and Oracle System? (Excel, csv, or any specific format for data migration)Excel
10. What would be the average size of findings and number of pictures that would be attached to each audit? What file formats specifically should the system support?Findings are flat files with at least 26 fields and maximum three photographs per finding. Would also appreciate input, guidance and perspective if other or more expanded approaches are considered best practice
11. Are there any current external integrations that need to be considered for the system? No
12. Would you be working with the procurement/OCIO organization to procure licenses at an agency level? No. This requirement will be at a Bureau (NPS) level.
13. Will operation and maintenance services for the new system (outside of standard software provider support) be within the scope of the RFI. Is there an interest in including O&M capabilities for this RFI response? The Government will require O&M for the first year and as an option for subsequent years.
14. As part of a potential implementation, would the system/application require ongoing, one-time, or on demand training development and support? Two, one-time training courses, with recordings of each.
