About this file

This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is issued by the National Park Service Denver Service Center for a housing replacement project at Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico. The project involves demolishing four condemned homes and one trailer, and constructing three new buildings: a 1,631 SF single-family home, a 2,548 SF duplex, and a 3,163 SF triplex, with an estimated construction cost between $5-10 million. The project has a 540-calendar day performance period and requires careful archaeological and cultural resource preservation, given the site's UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

The National Park Service anticipates releasing a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) in Summer 2025 for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, with responses to this Sources Sought Notice due by 5:00 PM Mountain Time on June 13, 2025. Interested contractors must complete the attached survey questionnaire and email it to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer. The procurement will use NAICS code 237990 with a $25.5M size standard, and both large and small businesses are encouraged to respond. Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds are expected to be required, and the park will remain open during construction, necessitating minimal visitor disruption.
