General Project Description and Scope:

This project is located at Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Sulphur, OK. Work to be performed under this Design Build Construction Services project requirement includes:

Design Build Contract to replace the existing water treatment plant (WTP) north of the Buckhorn campground that services that campground, boat ramp, and pavilion. The WTP also serves the Point boat ramp and campground via a pipe crossing underneath the lake. The WTP was constructed in the 1970s and cannot reliably provide treated water to the area served. Several maintenance issues are noted, including difficulty repairing or replacing aging appurtenances, and the need for manual operation due to non-functional automatic controls which were damaged by lightning and water leaks. The plant was originally designed to produce 25,000 gallons per day (gpd) of potable water. The new design capacity will be 43,000 gallons per day.

A new maintenance building will be designed and constructed to replace the carpentry shop and storage buildings and will house a fire cache along with janitorial storage. The new 3,490 square-foot facility connects the recently rebuilt Roads and Trails building via a common area with restrooms and showers, ensuring accessibility with stairs and a lift. The design prioritizes emergency response, supply distribution, staff comfort, deferred maintenance and low life cycle costs for new facilities. Fire truck bays are positioned for easy access, and the central area is designated for maintenance supplies. The building will be constructed of durable materials for longevity and ease of maintenance.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is: 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Building Construction

Set-Aside: Small Business - Set-Aside

Size Standard: $45 Million.
