A new water tank and foundation will be installed to support the existing comfort station on site and an existing campground off site. Existing outdoor facilities will be repaired and expanded to maintain and improve visitor use at the site. The existing comfort station will have a portion of the utilities replaced to maintain service after the other buildings are removed.

2. REALIGN CRATER RIM DRIVE AND EXPAND ENTRANCE STATION TO IMPROVE VISITOR SAFETY

The project will realign Crater Rim Drive in the area of the park Entrance Station to improve visitor safety.

The proposed fiber optic system includes all necessary junction boxes, handholes, patch panels, blackboards and associated appurtenances need to provide fiber optic service to the park’s administrative buildings. Approximately 4,300 linear feet is buried and 4,410 linear feet will be installed aboveground. The existing fiber optic system will be abandoned in place with some exceptions.
