About this file

This document is a questions and answers file related to a federal solicitation for mastication services. The Bureau of Land Management Arizona State Office is seeking quotes for vegetation treatment through mastication on the Lang's Run project area in the Uinkaret Mountains by February 8, 2024. Maps of the project area are attached. The statement of work indicates treatment is needed on slopes up to 58% but will not take place on slopes too steep for equipment. The incumbent contractor is not identified, indicating this is a new contract opportunity. Solicitation: 140L6424Q0007 Uinkaret LRP Langs Run Mastication

Amendment 01

The purpose of this amendment (01) is to respond to all questions received.

Question 1: We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.

If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Answer 1: This is a brand-new contract.

Question 2: I would like to get the maps/kml filesfor lang’s run 2 mastication so I can come look at location to get a proper bid.

Answer 2: Maps/kml files are attached.

Question 3: I am requesting maps for the Langs run project please.

Answer 3: Maps are attached.

Question 4: In the SOW on page one, in site specifics, it states slopes “range from flat to 58%.’ Is there mastication to be done on slopes of 58%?

Answer 4: The SOW is accurate about the slope but it should be added that treatment will not take place on slope where it is not feasible for equipment to do so and maintain soils.

Due to this modification all terms and conditions remain unchanged.
