About this file

This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) regarding a federal contract opportunity for the removal of a large cottonwood tree at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Worland Field Office in Wyoming.

The key details are:

  • The solicitation number is 140L6224Q0044 for the "WORLAND FIELD OFFICE- COTTONWOOD TREE REMOVAL" requirement.
  • The tree is located at the southeast corner of the BLM Worland Field Office property and needs to be completely removed, including cutting/grinding the trunk, limbs, branches, and stump.
  • Contractors are allowed to provide a quote based solely on the provided photos instead of a site visit. The gate is open, so the tree can be viewed outside of the scheduled site visit window as long as it's done before the quote due date of August 30th at 2:00 PM MST.
  • The contractor will be responsible for all equipment required for the tree removal, which must be completed during daylight hours Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
  • All questions should be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Brad Bell, at bwbell@blm.gov.

Wind River-Big Horn Cottonwood Tree Removal Question and Answer

Question: Would it be acceptable to submit our quote based solely on the photos provided (instead of site visit)?

Answer: I do think it would be acceptable as long as they felt comfortable with doing so.

Question: Is the tree accessible to view at a time outside of the site visit?

Answer: I do not think it would be an issue to have it viewed at another time outside of the site visit window, as long as they do it in time to quote before the closing date of August 30th at 1400 MST. The gate is open so it could be viewed whenever.
