About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the JDR Boat Launch Sign Project solicitation issued by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Oregon-Washington district. The document clarifies contractor requirements for fabricating and delivering seven aluminum kiosks, nine kiosk sign panels (with two extras for existing structures), four interpretive sign mounts with panels, and associated hardware to the Prineville District Wareyard.

The kiosks must be delivered fully assembled and welded as one-piece units measuring 92 inches wide by 96 inches tall, with 4-inch by 4-inch posts constructed from 0.080-inch aluminum alloy. The nine kiosk sign panels (48 inches tall by 84 inches wide) each require four clear acrylic sleeves capable of holding 8.5 by 11-inch sheets and must receive UV-protective laminate. The four interpretive kiosks use 2-inch by 3-inch posts with 0.080-inch wall thickness, mounted at 30 degrees to meet ADA requirements (27 to 34 inches above ground). All panels require weathered brown powder coating, with the contractor providing color samples for BLM selection. All mounting hardware and protective crating for shipment are the contractor's responsibility, though BLM will assist with unloading at the wareyard and conduct all installation work. The performance period spans September 28, 2026 through October 15, 2027, with contract award anticipated on or before September 25, 2026. BLM will provide print-ready artwork 30 days after award, with a mandatory 10-day review period for shop drawings and graphic proofs before production begins.
