About this file
This document is an Amendment (Amendment 0001) for the Vale Fence Repair & Install project, Solicitation Number 140L4325R0028, issued by the Bureau of Land Management's Oregon State Office. The amendment includes a Request for Information (RFI) with five questions and answers related to fence repair logistics, such as equipment usage (skidsteers and UTVs), vegetation removal requirements, and payment terms. Specifically, contractors received clarification that skidsteers can be used if they do not form ruts, dead juniper trees must be removed from the fenceline, live sagebrush can remain unless impeding wire tightening, and progress payments are allowed with Contracting Officer's Representative approval.
The amendment also includes a site visit record from July 22, 2025, at the Vale District Office, where two potential contractors (L and S Fencing LLC and IO Environmental & Infrastructure) attended. The site visit was facilitated by Kristen Munday, an ESR Specialist, and a complete site inspection tour was conducted. The proposal submission deadline remains unchanged at August 6, 2025, at 1:30 PM Pacific Time. The project involves fence repair and installation for the Vale District Office in Oregon, with specific guidelines for equipment use and site preparation.
