About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Walk and Roll Motor Grader Attachment needed by the Burns District to improve road maintenance. The attachment is a packer pulled behind a John Deere Motor Grader 672G with rippers, designed to compact loose gravel and extend road surface integrity. Specific requirements include a minimum 90-inch width, quick attachment capability, articulating abilities to pack sharp corners, oscillation to protect the road crown, and a towing hitch for additional utility. The primary benefit is reduced road maintenance frequency, resulting in cost savings for the district. Two accompanying images demonstrate the packer's design and attachment method to a motor grader, showing a yellow and black equipment with multiple wheels designed for road compaction.

Statement of Work

Walk and Roll Motor Grader Attachment

This attachment is needed to better maintain the roads on the Burns District. The packer is pulled behind the grader to pack the loose gravel into the road base which intern helps the road surface stay compacted and intact longer. This saves the district money due to the fact that the roads do not have to be bladed as often.

This packer needs to be at least 90 inches wide with a quick attachment and spacer to fit a John Deere Motor Grader 672G with rippers. Please see pricing for walk and roll grader in attachments. It needs to have articulating abilities (to pack sharp corners) and it needs to oscillate (to protect and pack the crown of the road) It also needs a towing hitch to safely pull a pick up down the road when needed.

Please see images below of what this item looks like and how this item hooks to a grader for road maintenance.
