About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for the 2026 Elko Rookie School Catering solicitation issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Nevada Region. The document addresses key clarifications regarding meal requirements for 60 personnel attending the catering event. Specifically, the vendor must account for one gluten-free meal and one vegetarian meal at each mealtime (breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each day), with these specialized meals being part of the total meal count rather than additions to it. The document clarifies operational constraints by confirming that no kitchen facility will be available for meal preparation on-site, requiring the selected vendor to provide all meals in packaged, ready-to-transport condition in accordance with the Statement of Work.

1 gluten free attendee. 1 vegetarian attendee. So at every mealtime (breakfast, lunch, dinner each day), 1 of each of these options would need to be included with the other meals. These are not in addition to – they are part of the total meals requested for 60 personnel.

2. Is there a kitchen available for the vendor to use for meal preparation?

No kitchen available. Meals will need to be packaged and ready to transport, per the statement of work.
