About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 140L3925Q0016 for fence removal services in the Bureau of Land Management's Elko District, Nevada. The document clarifies that the project involves removing approximately 37,795 linear feet of fence across two locations within Elko County, with no fence installation required.
The technical specifications indicate the fence consists of three wires (two barbed wire strands on top, one smooth wire on bottom) at approximately 42 inches height, with steel t-posts spaced 16.5 feet apart and one steel fence stay between posts. The corners use "Easy Fence" panel construction. Contractors must bundle removed t-posts in units of 200 and deliver them to the BLM Elko District Office at 3900 East Idaho Street. The terrain is mostly accessible by skid steer, though contractors are encouraged to conduct site visits. Cattle guard removal is not included in the scope. The document also clarifies that location coordinates are provided in Degrees Minutes Seconds format rather than decimal degrees.
