Fence Materials BLM – Elko District Office
General Info:
The Bureau of Land Management, Elko District Office, has a requirement for various fence materials as specified below. All items must be compliant with the Buy American Act. Refer to the attached clauses & provisions for relevant information.
Materials Requested & Minimum Specifications:
1) Barbed Wire - Quantity = 162 Rolls
a. two twisted galv. steel wires with 2-point barb of 14-gauge wire spaced 4" apart.
b. each wire to be 12-1/2 gauge.
c. 950 lbs. force breaking strength each wire.
d. barbs and wire shall be zinc coated steel with min. .3 oz zinc per sq. ft.
e. barbed wire shall conform to ASTM 121
f. 440 yds (1320 ft) per roll
2) Barbless Wire – Quantity = 128 Rolls
a. two twisted wires class I
b. 12-1/2 gauge galv. steel wire
c. 950 lbs. force break strength per wire
d. wire shall be zinc coated steel with min. .3 oz zinc.
e. wire shall conform to ASTM 121
f. 440 yds (1320 ft.) per roll
3) SS40 Galv. Steel Pipe 1.90 o.d.- Quantity = 305 each Length 7' 61 Per Bundle = 5 Bundles Shall Conform to ASTM F 1043-00 SS 40 Domestic Made
4) SS40 Galv. Steel pipe 2.375 o.d.- Quantity = 370 each Length 7' 37 per bundle = 10 Bundles Shall conform to ASTM F1043-00 SS 40 Domestic Made
5) Steel Fence Post 5.5’ Green with white or lime green Tip - Quantity = 3,000 each
a. “T” Bar Type
b. Welded or riveted anchor plate (top 18” from bottom of post)
c. Made from wrought, rail or new billet steel 1.33 lbs./ ft.
d. Weigh a minimum of 0.67 lbs. and shall be a minimum of 18 sq. inches.
e. Shall be in accordance with federal specifications ASTM A702-87
f. Shall have five posts per bundle.
White or Lime Green tips are the only acceptable colors. No shades of white will be accepted.
6) Carriage bolts and nuts 3/8” x 1 ½” - Quantity = 2,000 each Shall be presses steel or cast Iron according to ASTM F 626 and shall be galvanized with 1.2 oz or zinc per ft.
7) 30” Fence Stays Class 1 Domestic - Quantity = 100 Bundles (100 per bundle) 30" length 100 per bundle 100 bundles
Delivery:
All items are to be delivered to the Elko District Office, located at 3900 East Idaho Street, Elko, NV 89801. The contractor is responsible for offloading all materials.
Delivery shall occur within 90 days of receipt of contract award. Date and time of delivery shall be coordinated with the District Point of Contract at least five (5) days prior to delivery. Delivery hours shall be between 8:00AM and 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, except for Federal Holidays.
