About this file

This is a Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Products and Commercial Services (Standard Form 1449) issued by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) National Intragency Fire Center for the procurement of storage containers.

The BLM seeks four 40-foot high cube, double-door, dry storage containers for delivery to the BLM-Ely Regional Seed Warehouse located at 1111 Medlyn Way, Ely, Nevada 89301. Containers must meet specified dimensions (40' length, 8' width, 9'6" height exterior; 39'5" length, 7'8" width, 8'10" height interior) and include fork pockets and lock boxes. Offerors must identify the manufacturer's country of origin and specify whether containers are brand new, one-time use, or used condition. The Government prefers one-time use containers over used or brand new options, with quality and price as determining factors. All four containers must be the same color, with the preferred color shown in bid schedule photographs. Used containers require photographs demonstrating water-tight and wind-tight integrity, good floor condition, and functional doors. Delivery is required between May 18 and June 12, 2026, during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM), with 48-hour advance scheduling. The contractor is responsible for off-loading and placement using roll-off trucks or forklifts at the contractor's expense. The solicitation number is 140L3726Q0034, with an offer due date of April 6, 2026 at 1100 MD. This is a women-owned small business (WOSB) set-aside with 100% allocation for women-owned small businesses. The award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable bidder. Offerors must be registered and have active accounts in the System for Award Management (SAM), provide signed SF1449 forms, bid schedules, past performance references (three required demonstrating similar product and magnitude), and required photographs. Bids should be emailed to dbarker@ios.doi.gov. Contact Diane Barker at (208) 387-5544 or dbarker@blm.gov for questions. The product/service code is 8145 (Specialized Shipping and Storage Containers), and the NAICS code is 332439 with a small business size standard of 600 employees.
