About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment for Solicitation No. 140L3725Q0081, Amendment 0001, related to a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) project in the Idaho Region for FY25 Soda Springs Cut Stump Treatment. The Q&A provides clarification on two key areas: herbicide selection and pricing options.
Regarding herbicides, the document specifies that only certain products from Table 1 are suitable for cut stump treatment, with requirements that any product used near water must have an aquatic label and be specifically labeled for salt cedar cut stump treatment. The pricing options allow vendors flexibility to quote either a comprehensive "cut, spray and pile" option or a more limited "cut and pile" option, providing contractors with multiple bidding approaches for the project.

Solicitation No. 140L3725Q0081 Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers
1. Is there a preferred herbicide for the treatment? If so, can you provide the chemical information and the application rate?
Answer: only a couple of these herbicides on Table 1 are what would typically be used for cut stump. If water is present it must have an aquatic label. The Product must be labeled for salt cedar cut stump.
2. What is the intent of Options 1 and 2 in the price schedule? My understanding is that the project is for a single treatment Answer: The intent of the options was to provide vendors flexibility to quote on the cut, spray and pile option or just the cut and pile option.
