About this file
This is an Amendment 0002 Questions and Answers document dated 3/25/2026 for a federal contract opportunity involving pipeline and hydrant construction work managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
The document addresses technical specifications and project responsibilities across two sets of Q&A. Initial questions clarify that a 150 PSI pressure reducing valve is acceptable (rather than the originally specified 200 PSI), hydrants shall comply with specification 02665 - Part 2.1 – R with signs supplied by BLM, and the BLM has already obtained the Dawson County Road Crossing Permit so the contractor need not acquire it. Topsoil removal is not required if trenching methods are used. Site visit Q&A from 03/17/2026 provides additional project details: the construction easement is 50 feet either side of pipeline centerline, a 1-year warranty is required for work performed, underground utilities are unknown per specification 01009 – Part 3.2 – A – 2 with the contractor responsible for contacting utility owners via the Montana One Call System before excavation and immediately notifying utility owners of any damage, livestock will be present in the area during construction, and any fittings meeting the specification will be accepted for the project.
