STATEMENT OF WORK FOR
SERVICES
Devil’s Elbow Mold Remediation
1. Introduction
1.1. The Government has a need for mold remediation and the removal and replacement of the carpeting at the
Devil’s Elbow Campground Admin Facility. The building is located at 5965 York Rd, Helena, MT 59602.
2. Background
2.1. A water leak was reported in the bathroom in the campground building. The leak caused a water intrusion inside and outside of the bathroom and laundry. Water also soaked the hallway carpet. The source of the water intrusion was due to a leak in the condensate drain line of the furnace.
2.2. The condensate drain line was repaired but not before causing an issue with mold in the walls separating the laundry and bathroom and the wall between the doors into these rooms. The hallway carpet was also affected.
2.3. A company was contracted to assess the area for the presence of mold and to provide mold remedial recommendations. This assessment is included below.
3. Scope of Work
3.1. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to remediate the mold conditions outlined below.
3.2. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to repair and rebuild damaged areas caused by the water intrusion and mold remediation back to original condition.
3.3. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to remove and replace the carpeting in the hallway area.
4. General Requirements
4.1. Contractor shall remove all rubbish/debris off the project location upon completion of the project.
4.2. All work shall be inspected by the Government to ensure compliance with the product manufactures installation instructions, recommendations, and to industry codes and standards.
4.3. Contractor shall work normal hours (8:00am to 5:00pm), Monday through Friday, unless otherwise specified by the Contracting Officer. Contractor cannot work on Federal holidays.
4.4. Contractor is encouraged to visit the site and determine actual quantities, dimensions, and site conditions prior to quoting.
4.5. Contractor shall verify all quantities, dimensions, and product details prior to ordering new product.
Contractor shall submit proposed carpet to the CO and Technical Point of Contact for approval before ordering and installation.
4.6. Contractor is responsible for complying with the International Building Code (IBC) 2021, if applicable.
5. Submittals
5.1. The successful quoter will submit the following for approval to the Contracting Officer Representative at the pre-work meeting.
5.1.1. All product specifications for carpet.
5.1.2. The Government shall have 3 days after product submission to approve/disapprove products and product components.
