About this file
This document is a Bid Schedule for a herbicide application project by the Bureau of Land Management's Idaho Region for the 2025 Big Desert Fuel Break vegetation management initiative. The solicitation (140L2625Q0026) covers herbicide application across 2,387 acres, with a 30-day performance period starting June 1, 2025. The application requires 597 gallons of 2,4-D LV6, 1,791 ounces of Metsulfuron methyl, and 597 gallons of MSO, to be applied at specific rates (1 quart/acre of 2,4-D and MSO, 3/4 ounce/acre of Metsulfuron methyl) using ground-based or UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) methods.
The bid schedule includes detailed pricing breakdowns for herbicide application and individual chemical components, with contractors required to start work within three days of notification by the Contracting Officer Representative. Application is contingent on soil and vegetation conditions, with work prohibited if potential damage could occur. Carrier water will be applied at 10 gallons/acre for ground-based application and 3 gallons/acre for UAS application, reflecting precise operational specifications for this rangeland vegetation management project.
